Fisker CEO Says They Have No Plans To Invest In Bitcoin (BTC)

Recently Henrik Fisker, the Chief Executive Officer of Fisker, well-known to be the competitive and rival automotive company of tesla, shared that, unlike Tesla, they don’t have any plans to deal in Bitcoin (BTC) for the sake of payments and investment. The last couple of weeks have been very tough for Bitcoin (BTC) as Tesla stopped accepting payments for cars in BTC, China’s extended crackdown over cryptocurrencies, and mainly due to the environmental issues as it is believed that Bitcoin mining consumes a lot of energy.

So, while quoting the environmental issues in an interview, the CEO of Fisker cleared that due to such concerns, Henrik has decided that he isn’t going to deal in Bitcoin as he is so touched with the nature and concerned about increasing environmental issues and he considers Bitcoin mere an unsustainable solution.

Fisker’s detachment from Bitcoin

If we look into the past, a couple of months back, Elon Musk, the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla and SpaceX, took so much interest in Bitcoin (BTC) and jolted the crypto market by means of BTC holding and significantly by announcing publically about inculcating Bitcoin for the purchasing Tesla electric cars and investment.

Getting inspired and following the same trend, many other companies started dealing in crypto-assets and started accepting Bitcoin for a payment solution, but amid such trend, Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker automotive car firm, remained vigilant and didn’t take any step to deal in Bitcoin and once in an interview also shared that he has no such plans because he is concerned for the environmental issues, and it is well-acknowledged that Bitcoin mining consumes a massive amount of energy.

Fisker also shared his opinions in a recent interview in which he reaffirmed his aforementioned statement about refuting BTC for payment purposes, and he considers such payment solution as an unsustainable solution. Moreover, he said that crypto assets are highly unpredictable, and no one has an exact idea about the growth in the coming five years, and it doesn’t bother me to contemplate it deeply.

Energy Concerns related to Bitcoin Mining

Henrik shared the table with Musk to discuss the matter that restrained him from further go ahead with Bitcoin for payment and other concerns, which came to an end that most Bitcoin mining involves the consumption of fossil fuels, and this fact was being covered behind the veil.

Being concerned about the environmental issues, Henrik disclosed that due to such factors, he is not going to deal with it, and Tesla has also stopped doing so. Henrik calls Bitcoin an unsustainable and non-eco-friendly asset and has no plans to deal with it.
